Sting will return to North America in April with his Broken Music Tour, a stripped-down show featuring two guitars, bass and drums. The four-piece will comprise Sting on bass; longtime bandmate Dominic Miller plus Shane Fontayne on guitars; and Josh Freese from A Perfect Circle on drums. The tour starts April 1st at the Event Center at San Jose State in California. A number of college campuses are on the itinerary and college students will have access to special ticket presales for those shows. Other stops will include cities and venues that Sting missed on the lengthy Sacred Love tour. Right now, the schedule runs through April 30, but more dates are in the works. L.A. rockers Phantom Planet will open the show on all dates. Tickets for the first several concerts go on sale December 3. The balance of the tour dates are on sale the following day. Fans who are members of sting.com will be able to purchase tickets to most shows through the Web site starting December 1.
