I have to agree, Dan. I don't remember hearing of another band getting together after many years, touring, and not even having a single new song to perform. Wasn't there a rumor right before the tour began where Andy was quoted as saying that they'd written one or two new songs that would be performed on tour? What ever happened to that? Imagine for a moment if U2 or The Rolling Stones were to tour next year, playing only their greatest hits from 1979 - 1983... Even when The Eagles got back together about 10 years ago now, they wrote and performed four new songs on the tour. I suppose it really is a testament to the band's success that The Police really are able to tour after so many years without having any new material. And I think that they've acquired so many new fans (like me) who didn't know / care who they were back in their heyday but who have been just dying for the opportunity to finally see The Police live now that they DO care.
