Interesting article in my local paper today -- and the day is here at last!
Hi all, Well, it's tonight, which is why I woke up at 5 AM thinking it was time to start the day! My local paper had a long article and a huge photo of Fiction Plane. It was reprinted from the Minneapolis Star Tribune. My paper is the Centre Daily Time (www.centredaily.com). It mentions that Joe is not the only Police child on the tour, that Stew's son Jordan is along for the ride, filming the tour for an upcoming movie. This was news to me, but I haven't been reading all the posts very closely lately -- I've been working 12-16 hour days! But for the next 24 hours, I will be in a blissful state of musical Nirvana, and I apologize for mixing my musical metaphors, but I can't believe the day has finally come. At last I know what all of you have been feeling since Vancouver! I will post asap after I come home tomorrow. Have a great weekend, everyone! Talk to you soon! Holly
Jordan has not been introducing himself as Stew's son. He introduced himself to me as an employee of Ultrastar who is doing filming for P.com. He remembered me from the Whisky because of my "Pinch me I must be dreaming shirt." I figured out he was Stew's son because there's enough facial resemblance. He is very nice and really just wants to work. I hope his "cover" isn't blown. Wasn't the mini-video showing the photo shoot for Rolling Stone was clearly credited to Jordan Copeland? My guess is that Jordan isn't introducing himself to us FANS as Stewart's son. After all, there still isn't a photo published of him in this capacity (am I wrong on that?) and how many people are going to ask who he is while he's behind the camera? I'm also guessing that he is most of the time inaccessible, and Maggie and I happen to get close because of the very close quarters at the Viper room where they were filming FP. And yeah, he really Does look like Stew, with that familial chin and all... He's a nice chap and obviously wants to stay out of the limelight: when it comes to us fans, that is!!! LOL... not that I blame him! :D Jen from SoCal Bruce Greenwood <bruce.greenwood@rogers.com> wrote: v\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} o\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} w\:* {behavior:url(#default#VML);} .shape {behavior:url(#default#VML);} st1\:*{behavior:url(#default#ieooui) } WasnÂt the mini-video showing the photo shoot for Rolling Stone was clearly credited to Jordan Copeland? We all know Sting's son is a musician and Coco Sumner is trying to break into the business too. And since there is a discussion about Jordon Copeland (video production), I am wondering if anyone has these recordings with Sven Copeland (who played drums on the albums). I am unable to help regarding the recordings you mentioned, but I have one comment to make: The subject line "Children of The Police" makes me feel old - how did that happen so fast!?!? Bruce (and everyone else), Sorry, I didn't mean to make ANYONE feel older than they already are. Just sit back and think of your youthful days when you first discovered the Police. That will always put a smile on my face! ...i think this says all... http://www.picturedwithin.com/disco.html Simon, When I first read the track listing for the new cd, I thought the same thing as you. Sarabande has to be the Jon Lord song. The email from Andy's website makes things interesting along with the liner note from Jon Lord' album. If you find anything else out, please let me know. Cheers, Jon

Hmmm...i¹m wondering about that, because : Sarabande is a Jon Lord composition. At least that¹s what the LPInnersleeve and the CD-Booklet says.
Here are the original liner notes :
³The Theme behind the music on this album is that of a baroque dance suite. A form of music which was brought to its highest level by Bach. The title of each track is the name of a dance used in one of these dance suites, and i have tried to use the same tempo, and feel as an original Sarabande, Gigue, etc.².......
Composed and Scored by Jon Lord between January and August, 1975, Munich, Germany
ANDY SOMMERS Guitar and classical Guitar
