What song would you like them to play? One song I definitely would love to hear (and it's quite appropriate in this day and age) is One World (Not Three). Stewart's drumming on this song is masterful.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing just yesterday! It's hard for me to decide.... Man in a Suitcase, Tea in the Sahara, or Secret Journey? And the watch for Police news continues... Have a great Sunday! David On 1/7/07, Jbwilm@aol.com <Jbwilm@aol.com> wrote:

Holy Crap!! That's a tough one. I think that I would definitely love to hear something off of Outlandos.... To go back to that earliest stuff would give the best glimpse of their rawest, most punk-like music. To see them (Sting especially) rockin Next To You, Fallout, Landlord or even Peanuts would just be fantastic. Man In A Suitcase is definitely a fav as is Canary In A Coalmine. I love Voices, even though it's rather monotonous. Walking On The Moon would be great. The problem is, I can be very indecisive when it comes to a favorite Police song. (Can you tell?) I think that I would have to have them play a fav from each period, ie. pre-Outlandos and then from each album.... Maybe something like this: Pre-Outlandos- I think I would want to hear Dead End Job. Sting's bass playing in that song just knocks my socks off!! I hope that one day I might be able to play that bass line.... Outlandos- I think Next To You or So Lonely. I think that they always had a lot of fun with those songs when they played them live. Regatta- I have always loved It's Alright For You. Just a really cool song. No Time is good as is Contact, and the Bed's Too Big. Zenyatta- Probably Man In A Suitcase, however Driven To Tears would be great, as would When The World Is Running Down. Ghosts- Have always loved Spirits. Too Much Info is good, and I agree that Stew's drumming on One World is pretty damn cool. Synchronicity- I think it would have to be the title track, Synchronicity I. Call me crazy, but I really like Miss Grandenko too. For the bass line and Andy's guitar sounds very nice. And one more that was a sinlge is A Sermon- Have always loved that one too. Wherever possible, I tried to stay away from the "standards", like Roxanne, MIAB, EBYT, etc... I guess having heard Sting do them so many times on his tours I would just rather hear something that I've never heard before that only can be done by the Police..... Of course I wouldn't climb up on stage and tell them to stop playing any of those songs, I'm not crazy!!! Well, that's my 2¢ worth. My choices will probably have changed by this afternoon, but that's the beauty of loving a band with so many damn great songs!!!!!!!! Oh also, I realize my choices are probably pretty un-realistic and that they're probably not going to play such obscure and old stuff, but man, wouldn't it be great?! Guess I would just love to get a taste of what it was like when they first hit the scene and were doing those small gigs like the Rat or My Father's Place.....
