Hi all! I was a member of this list a loooong time ago, from looking at recent posts, I recognize some familiar names, hi to everyone, especially Bill Bredice! I am moving, and I came across all my Sting memorabilia that I was hoping to sell but never got around to it. Now I am offering it to anyone who would like to come and get it, I¹m on the upper east side of Manhattan and I am moving next Fri, 7/28, so you would need to get it by then. I¹ve got lots of random stuff, mostly magazines with Sting/Police on the cover, concert programs, posters, newspaper articles, also this octagonal paper lantern with pictures of the Police on all sides, a Sting calendar, and more... and as an added bonus, I¹ll throw in the Nuclear Waste cd in the tin can! Anyone who¹s interested, shoot me an email or give me a call at 212-410-2989. Cheers, Allison Steigman alli624@nyc.rr.com --
sting memorabiliaHere I am...back from a couple of days with Stewart and Gizmo!!! I don't have a lot of time right now, but I will send a bigger message in the coming days. Now, some of the highlits: -rehearsals went great, the theatre where they rehearsed in LONGIANO was really a cool place to work on the songs; the sound was amazing and the result was really powerful! - Dodo Nkishi on vocals is very interesting, the image is cool and he got a great vibe on stage; he goes from raggamuffin to soul, from rock to world and ethnic vibes... - Phil X on guitar is fantastic, he rocks and you can tell he makes the real difference with last year sound; Fiuczinsky was great as well last year, but the band decided they wanted a different sound, more into rock. Both Dodo and Phil are amazing guys, very excited about the project; I will tell you more about them when I will write specific messages on them. We talked a lot about their musical backgrounds. The tracklist is similar to last year tour with a couple of new songs and an instrumental track....then we have RUMBLEFISH, MISS GRADENKO, LOUIS HANSA, DARKNESS, WIELD THE SPACE.... About 'Wield The Space', to introduce the song, they used an historic recording from IL DUCE (yes, MUSSOLINI), one of the speeches he used to do when he decided Italy had to be in war....the song is now 'sung' by Stewart...it's more of a spoken word song now and Stewart does it in a fantastic way! - Stewart is in great great shape! He loves being in Italy with Gizmo once again and is ready to go on with the project; the band will get some days to work on some official recordings that will finally see the official release, probably next year. Ciao ciao Giovanni
