Hey Fred, I've booked myself into the Ramada Limited Downtown which isn't too far from Robson Street and GM Place. I stayed at the Century Plaza on Burrard in January and thought it was kinda dumpy. I've read bad reviews for The Sandman which is very close to GM Place as well. I think it all depends on how much you want to pay and if it's important to you to be closer to GM Place. Sutton Place is really nice but more expensive and farther from the arena. I'd recommend booking sooner than later as the hotel I really wanted to stay at (The Georgian Court) is all booked up.
