Hi Folks, I'm a person with a severe form of muscular dystrophy. I am now 37 years old and failing. My only true goal at this point in my life is to meet Sting. I tried and nearly succeed during the BND tour. I remember writing to a man named Terence, whom I believe was from Sting's publicity office. I remember getting Terence's contact information from Dave and Wendy of the old Stingchronicty website. I was just wondering if anybody on this list can identify this Terence guy and tell me how I can reach him, or recommend someone else to whom I can write so that I can at least try to meet Sting. Ciao a tutti from Giovanni. I will have the chance to attend a meeting where the Great Mr. Miles Copeland will talk about Desert Rose videoclip/contract with Jaguar. Here is what Preview Magazine, dedicated to Midem in Cannes has written about: Midems Music For Images Conference aims to inform delegates of the new revenue streams offered by film and television, advertisements and video games. Advertising will be addressed by the days opening keynote speaker Miles Copeland (on January 27th) president of Copeland Group, Ark 21 Records and Firstars Management. In a Q&A session Copeland will discuss how he negotiated a fruitful contract to use a Sting video as the Jaguar advertisement. Ill be attending this meeting as well, not only because Im into music businness (ill work at Midem for 4 days), but also because Im into music for film as a musician and ...because I MISS MILES !!! Ok, there have been lots of discussion in various mailing list about how Miles managed Sting in the latest few year, but I strongly believe he did great moves with an artist such as Sting! I always loved the bands discovered by Miles and Ian and I dont know if its a matter of taste (those might be so similar to mine!) but Im not theonly one saying that for sure! To name a few? R.E.M., THE ALARM, WALL OF VOODOO, GO-GOS, BANGLES and a hundreds more! Cmon...you have to admit that most of Sting and Police fans miss Miles management nowadays! If I will have the chance, Ill try to get in touch and thank him again (I already met him in the past) for what he has done musically speaking, Im thrilled about the idea to see him and look forward to attend his speach in Cannes!
