I thought Sting's comments about the Police reunion in the Tracks magazine was interesting. Its like the first time I can recall he has said something like that. Does anyone know what else he has said about the reunion - the "unhappy boy". I also have been surprised that in all the publicity and interviews he has been doing hardly anyone asks him about the reunion gig. The whole thing seemed rather anti climatic to me.
agreed, david. you had to know that, given the fact that once their induction in the HoF hit the press and sting shortly thereafter announced he has hard at work on a new solo record, that the police reunion at the HoF ceremony would be downplayed a bit. and, as i mentioned back then, it is hard to take an induction into the HoF seriously when gwen stafani is giving the speech, you have the edge talking about sting and not the police, et. al. "anticlimatic" is a PERFECT word. rich --- David Lucky <dlucky711@yahoo.com> wrote:

... also, they had 2 or 3 rehearsals - this the 1st time they played together in a legitmate setting since 1986: so does he have a right to be "unhappy"? --- David Lucky <dlucky711@yahoo.com> wrote:

Norwegian TV did an interview with him the week after he had been rewarded his CBE, and the subject came up. Sting said that he had fet very akward (sp?) about the whole HoF thing because he felt as if he was put in a museum long befor his career was over. He acknowledged that it was fine to put The Police in a museum, but he still felt strange about it. The interviewer then said something to the effect that "But you still enjoyed it?", and Sting replied "No". Mikkel -- "And my sanity scans the horizon" Sting - The Wild Wild Sea http://www.mzh.dk
It seems as though Sting wants to forget he was ever a part of The Police. He never really mentions it anymore and this whole thing about not being nostalgic is total BS. The guy wants to take credit for everything. I wonder if he realizes that a majority of his fans started out as Police fans. I just wish he would acknowledge it more. Even his acceptance speech at the HOF was weak. The "Unhappy boy" needs a beating from Stewart and Andy. ****************** --- "Mikkel Z. Herold" <mikkel@mzh.dk> wrote:
