After receiving my copy of Swings and Roundabouts, I decided to follow up on a comment made by someone on this list (I don't remember, apologies) about a 2nd CD. I sent an e-mail to Karen at Karen@fictionplane.com; and this is what she said: Hi Don, Thanks for buying swings and roundabouts. I believe you are talking about the cd they put out under the name The Caustics. They printed a limited amount of those themselves and will probably not be available again. But, a couple of the songs on that cd just might end up on their new record. Take Care, Karen Has anyone on this list heard or have this CD? Thanks, Don in Sunny Florida
I'm not sure what she is referring to by the Caustics. They had recently changed their name to Faktory X before settling on Fiction Plane. (they said they couldn't keep Faktory X because it was already taken). And even though they had already changed their name to Fiction Plane, their last gig at King's head was billed under the name Santa's BF. Their 2nd cd, the one after Swings and Roundabouts, was called "Capture all the Faces" and was being sold at their gigs, just like S&R. They were no longer selling this CD as of their last gig as SB in June, because they had already signed with MCA, and were planning on using some of the songs on that cd for their debut album with MCA. There are a lucky few who were able to buy Faces at some of their earlier gigs this year. I am still looking for a copy of one of these!!! Let me know if you happen on to one, ok? thanks! on 7/31/02 10:46 AM, Morris, Donald T. at MORRDT@jea.com wrote:
