Hey Rich, You know I usually agree with you on all things Police, but this one I have to differ! I've often wondered why I like No Doubt, and I think it comes down to the Police influence in their music. I never really pinpointed it, but after this last CD, it's more evident. Since they seem to select some "new/young" band or musician to do the introductions, I can't think of a better person/band to select. Of course, I'm always available on March 10 for the intro if Gwen wants to back out! True, it is all record label puppeteering. You have to give them credit, they're doing their job and taking advantage of events and marketing the hell out of that man. He's got mansions and diamonds to pay for not to mention college tuition for 6 kids!
