I'm a 5+ year lurker of this mailing list. This is the only such list I've ever followed. I've never seen the Police perform. Prior to 2003, my friend (another dedicated fan) and I fantisized about a reunion. After the R'nRoll Induction, we prayed for a reunion. Over the next few years, we basically conceeded that it would never happen. And all of a sudden, it's on the verge of happening...... This possibility is consuming my thoughts. I've loaded my computer at work with all the Police material I have. I've been inspired to buy a record player and archive digital versions of some rare LP bootlegs (including the great MM-14) on my computer. I finished Andy's book in November and revisited Sting's "Broken Music". I look at my collection of 7" singles and signed LPs that have been on my wall, in higher prominace than my medical degree, in my office. I'm considering purchasing the Andy Summers replica Fender Telecaster. All of a sudden, it's on the verge of happening..... I'm flying my best friend to Minneapolis to have a Grammy's party: one song, one performance is the party. Someone on this list speculated that the tour would not be for us, but for a broader audience. This event is for us more than any others. This is the ONE thing that EVERY member of this list has dreamed and perhaps been too afraid to hope for. And all of a sudden, it's on the verge of happening.... My name is Mark and I live in Minneapolis. If the Police play here, I will orginize the party for any list members that want to come. Hell, I'll buy the drinks. And when I got to NY, I hope one of you will do the same. And when I go to LA, I hope one of you will do the same.... If I'm able to get extra tickets, I will offer them at cost/trade to members of this list. Let's unite, help each other and celebrate! ps-I'm sorry some of you are giving up because of the "stress" or "costs." Krapola, you can stay at home and regret what you missed for the rest of your life. _________________________________________________________________ FREE online classifieds from Windows Live Expo buy and sell with people you know http://clk.atdmt.com/MSN/go/msnnkwex0010000001msn/direct/01/?href=http://exp...
First off, I think Ross was kidding around :) After all, he got to play with Sting :P Second, I am in agreement with Mark. I will be happy to organize a party in Chicago when they come here, and I feel that working together to obtain tickets (if necessary) would be a great way to make sure everyone gets to see the boys. I am stressed out too... but I like Doreliz's idea of making a scrapbook so I can remember how awesome the stress felt years down the line! Of course, that's predicated upon my knowing how to make a scrapbook, which I don't. If anyone would like to start posting old images of the band on the list, I've certainly got a "Police" folder to fill on my computer. In fact, I wonder if I might make t-shirts with those iron-on sheets that have images of The Police, to have something unique to wear to the show! Now I'm all worked up about the reunion again... I thought I had myself under control, but no! Have a great Friday, everyone. David [MiaS] On 2/2/07, mark george <mbarkgeorge@hotmail.com> wrote:

David, You might enjoy checking out the gallery section at my website http://www.tookooltokalypso.org/ It's Stewart-centric but the Police area has nearly 600 pics at the moment, and I'm continually working on scanning and adding more...it's my virtual scrapbook. :-) -sockii
I know it sounds crazy, but if they do not Tour then I have nothing to stress about. I'll have no choice but not to go. -----Original Message----- From: police-bounces+krapola=shaw.ca@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:police-bounces+krapola=shaw.ca@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of David Sent: Friday, February 02, 2007 7:51 AM To: mark george Cc: police@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Police] My thoughts.... whoah mark, you must mave some serious wads of spare bills laying around to be able to consider that! 15 grand is just too much, if it were 3 gs that might be reasonable. anyway i am considering buying a generic warmoth double bound tobacco sunburst tele with a maple neck and building my own replica from pictures - that total might run in the range of $800 bucks. but i hear ya on helping other list members out with tickets and parties etc.!!! ----------------------- mark george wrote:
