Amazing f-ing show !!!!
I can't wait for Kelowna. I haven't been this excited for a show in a long time. On what release can I find End of The Game? I only have "Prelude..." on the BND recording. Presumably it was a B-Side, but the ancillary releases to BND all just seemed to be a plethora of remixes which I wasn't interested in. Can somebody point me to where I can find this tune? If you have a digital copy, we might be able to arrange something ;) I'm so stoked about hearing Soul Cages. Best regards, Mark. On Tue, Mar 29, 2005 at 09:53:27AM +0200, Toni Carbó wrote:

I have this song on a B side release, purchased in Germany (when my husband was there for a trip - under threat of death he went and searched for it!), although you may be able to find it elsewhere. It is titled "Sting Brand New Day", and has 4 tracks: Brand New Day (edit), Windmills of your Mind, End Of The Game, Brand New Day. Hope this helps! I doubt she'll be going on tour. It was Coco, she's like 15.

15? Whoops. With Sting in his mid 50's I would have that his kids older. Can you say "awkward"? I am another long time lister who posts messages infrequently... And I must say that Coco rocked Next To You. At one point about 2/3 of the way through, Sting and Dom exchanged surprised looks like "she's great" combined with "uh-oh!" For someone who is used to sitting 20+ rows back at shows, this was a real treat for me and a great set - Stewart was in attendance and there is always a fleeting hope he'll jump onstage during an encore, but I knew it wouldn't happen, so I was happy with what we got! -----Original Message----- From: Mark Tigges [mailto:mtigges@shaw.ca] Sent: Tuesday, March 29, 2005 10:26 AM To: rv Cc: police@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Police] New Set list On Tue, Mar 29, 2005 at 09:40:30AM -0800, rv wrote:

Longtime lurker here. Karma is funny...after the conversation regarding Coco playing bass, this shows up on Billboard.com today: http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1000857... Fiction Plane Revs Up For EP, Sting Dates Rock quartet Fiction Plane is wrapping work on an EP that will constitute its first new music since the 2003 release of its MCA debut, "Everything Will Never Be OK." Dubbed "Bitter Forces and Lame Race Horses," the set is led by the track "American Standard," which was mixed by Mark "Spike" Stent (U2, Oasis, Bjork). The EP, which will also feature the cuts "Tolerate," "Patience" and "The Author Lies," will be released in the United Kingdom by Everybody's Records, an imprint of Island. A North American release has yet to be nailed down. Drummer Pete Wilhoit tells Billboard.com Fiction Plane is also deep into the writing of its sophomore album. "We've actually been writing the whole last year," he says. "We've got about 25 new tunes. We're continuing to write and sort out when that's officially going to be recorded. Most likely, some of the songs on the EP will make it to the album." In the meantime, Fiction Plane has signed on to open seven of the last eight North American dates on Sting's Broken Music tour, from May 2 in Reading, Pa., through May 11 in Providence, R.I. These will be the band's first performances here in a year. "It's been way too long since we've played the States," Wilhoit admits. A show at New York's Mercury Lounge the following night is also in the works, as is an appearance at Brazil's Festival Mada in late May. ----- Original Message ----- From: "rv" <krapola@shaw.ca> To: "'Mark Tigges'" <mtigges@shaw.ca> Cc: <police@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 29, 2005 10:05 AM Subject: RE: [Police] New Set list 15? Ugh! If only they would be opening for Sting at the BJC (that would make me want to see the opening act!)...and I am flying back to AL before the Reading show! Maybe we could get the Sumner family band before too long.... I have never gotten to see FP live, but I do have their album and it is really good!
