Yeah, I didn't think of it that way.
happy for HIM that he's NOT writing dark music. That would mean tragedy struck.
Not necessarily. You know he's written a lot of songs with tragic elements, and been blissfully happy at the time. I don't want dark music really, just something more than love songs. His songs are always more than they seem, but you know what I mean.
And It's better to be uplifted these days. (As long as it's not bland)
Or sappy. Too much of a good thing is, as they say--too much. I'll keep an open mind. :) Wait a minute. I know what it is I really want from Sting musically--something exhilerating, something that moves me in an un-romantic or technical way, something with an edge. Yeah, we know he's a technical genius when it comes to the music, and romantic songs are okay, but.... I want him to get my blood going again. You want to know something funny? Last night on the radio, after playing a Police song, the DJ referred to Sting as "Mr. Trudy Sumner". Heh, right. :| Teri ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Surf the web up to FIVE TIMES FASTER! I have to admit when I was loading music for my new iPod I loaded Police and older Sting first and when I played my Sting list I fast forwarded quite a bit of the newer Sting - definitely a different energy! I find it really hard to transition from Police Live to Mercury Falling. And when the gospel sound of Brand New Day came up I quickly moved to U2's gospel version of I Still Haven't Found to get the oomph (or edge) I needed at the time. a by the way comment - I have been shopping in a variety of stores recently and I am delighted to find that Sting is often on the stores' playlists - both old and new. Hi there, me again! Do you think the tour wilL be called SACRED TOUR? I can imagine some t-shirts with a logo that may reflect the image of the title...to tell the truth I never liked all the t-shirts from Sting tours, from 'the Dream' until 'Brand New Day',but I have to admit that some from BND were quite nice...and I bought one...
