the police.com website and why sting is ending the police
so what do people think about the Police website charging 100 dollars for little crap. The Police will be no more and STing will have moved on with his solo career. What presale tickets are they talking about cause I think it is highway robbery to charge 100 dollars for nothing except the forum just some angry thoughts anybody else Unless a man undertakes more than he possibly can do, he will never do all that he can --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Honestly? After the last 3 albums, I have to say that I don't think Sting will have much of a career anymore. I could be wrong, perhaps he'll pull off something amazing, but I think the direction they could go in as a band would be much more innovative and fresh than anything he could do by himself now. Just my opinion, but I think Sting's ego might prove to be his undoing this time. I was heartbroken when Giovanni said "no new album", but honestly? I think that's their best bet for a continued career. I'd welcome other opinions on this, too. Perhaps what will happen is that Sting will go off and try to write a new album, find that he's still dissatisfied and creatively empty, then come back to the boys and play it to the media as though they just took a break. The fan-show in Vancouver was worth the first $100 to me. I went to cancel today, then thought about the "final" show. Maybe they'll throw another bone to people who stayed on the site, so I postponed my cancellation another year.
I cancelled my membership years ago over a ticket dispute, and I must confess never to have regretting it.
I just cancelled my police.com membership. What a freakin ripoff especially with the presale codes and all that. stupid joke for 100 dollars now Ross Viner <ross@rossviner.com> wrote: I cancelled my membership years ago over a ticket dispute, and I must confess never to have regretting it. _______________________________________________ Police mailing list Police@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/police Unless a man undertakes more than he possibly can do, he will never do all that he can --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Hey, what¹s happening here ? Exactly ONE year ago, we where all enthusiastic about the good news + i watching the webcast over and over again. Strange things happen ? Well, as i said it was 1 year ago + many things can change. Okay, 100 bucks are a lot of money, and beside the Lithograph + Sting¹s ³The Vault² - DVD (which arrived here 3 month ago...i didn¹t even watch it til today), there where nothing really interesting things going on for us members. Let¹s think about it : ³Season¹s greetings² ? Wow, great thank you ! ³25% off sales² in the shop ? Okay, i took the polo shirt, looks nice ! ³Members only presale / Tickets² ? They where NOT available for the shows i went ! And due to the ticket dispute we had last summer.....i don¹t know. Ou, yes, how could i forget : we got a brand new ³greatest hits² album (no. 5 ?) but that has nothing to do with the mentioned 100 bucks..... I¹ll take my membership, but i will seriously think about it when the POLICE Tour ends...in August 200? ! Peace Simon And the most important thing : happy birthday to Dietmar !
As I previously mentioned I haven't missed my membership. Especially when I think about how it adds up (i.e. $50 yearly times 6 years, is $300 saved-at least). I think the the powers that be, aren't trying to rip anyone off. But the demographic for Sting/Police fans is such they have much more disposable income, than most, so a lot pay the fee and notice little money gone. For me, I'd rather put that several hundred $$ towards a Vacation-dental work, even an X-box.
