Oh my gosh.....when did buying music become so technologically difficult???? The SACD hybrid is sort of a dual encoded disc that plays both in 2 channel traditional cd player (like your car or whatever) and also plays 5.1 channel in your SACD enhanced DVD player (about $170 at best buy). I think the SACD players are real, real popular in Japan and are sort of a novelty for the most part in North America.

For example, Japan gets 2 remixes and an extra album track over what the US release gets.
