The SACD hybrid is sort of a dual encoded disc that plays both in 2 channel traditional cd player (like your car or whatever) and also plays 5.1 channel in your SACD enhanced DVD player (about $170 at best buy). I think the SACD players are real, real popular in Japan and are sort of a novelty for the most part in North America.
