Sorry Maggie, here is the report from last weekend! - Bee STUNG played the Backstage Cafe Hall of Fame party last Friday night and had one of the most amazing experiences of our lives! Our "touring" drummer Roger Glomb got to play on Stewart Copeland's drum kit, and Ian sang along with the band on "Every Little Thing She Does" while countless photographers snapped shots. Silhouetted dancing girls in the front window enticed the sidewalk crowds, and drinks flowed steadily into the night as we rocked out in tribute to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, the POLICE! Unfortunately, none of the Police members showed up that evening. I imagine that is good news for many people who considered coming a long way on the chance that they would be there (I didn't know myself if they would make it!) but jamming with Ian Copeland and the kind words he had for us was more than enough for us to have one of greatest and most important moments of our short career. The house was packed and receptive, (even though people kept running up the stairs in excitement and then saw us and released a big sigh because we weren't the Police!) We certainly hope to be back, and are looking into some other venues that may host us on a return trip to La-La Land! Hope fully the POLICE fans at the Backstage will spread the word around town about STUNG, and we will have our next after-show party at the Backstage! Thanks to Ian Copeland, Jools, Kurt, Shannon, Bob, Barbara and all at the Backstage who made this weekend so special. Also special thanks to Roger Glomb, without whom on drums this trip would never even of happened. You should have seen him he was on fire, and Ian himself was flabbergasted at this young boys chops! A natural at playing the Police with piss and vinegar! Check out pix from the event at www.stunglive.com! Oh, and congratulations to the POLICE! Cheers, STUNG www.stunglive.com
