According to the artist's official Web site, a steady stream of unnamed guest artists have participated in the sessions. The as-yet-untitled set "remains on track for a likely release next autumn," the site says. The artist's last studio album, "Brand New Day," peaked in September 2000 at No. 9 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 3.5 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. It was followed up by the concert release "... All This Time," recorded in Tuscany. Sting's rendition of "Fragile" from the latter album was nominated yesterday (Jan. 7) for a best male pop vocal performance Grammy.
