I love "Mother"! This article reminds me about a statement Sting made a number of years ago, about the fact that he wrote all of the best Police songs. I can't argue with that, but I would argue that he was also responsible for their worst material. Omaha www.omahaperez.com Message: 4 Date: Wed, 16 Apr 2008 16:33:48 -0400 From: "Robert N. Agreed! I'll take any of Stewart's songs over "It's Alright For You" and "Next To You". I've come to appreciate "Mother" as well, but given the choice, I'd rather have "Friends". - mitch
That's a good way of putting it! (Without naming any "bad" tracks to peeve anyone...) I also happen to think Darkness is one of the very best, and that's not Sting's. So there's one or two he didn't write! Christopher --- omaha perez <drudion@yahoo.com> wrote:

Did Sting say that too? I remember Stewart saying that...something to the effect of "We all wrote the same number of songs, it's just that Sting wrote all the best songs." I really like "A Kind of Loving" - it would be interesting to hear that songs without all the screaming too.
