Maybe it is just me, but Stings winning of the Golden Globe for Until seems like a fix to me. I am sorry, I have been a fan for a long long long long time as most of you know, and he keeps winning awards for songs that even most of the hard core fans don't know, which means that the majority of the world doesn't have a clue at all. It is a known thing in the UK music industry.. (home of the one-hit-wonder-per-week) that they just make you number one, and then sell a ton of cd's on the back of it being number one. Elton John has said that his recent album will be his last works due to the pathetic nature of the industry and its constant 13 year old target market abuse. Is this award given under the same circumstances ?, I remember when he won for the Disney thing, I thought to myself, while this is an OK song at best, it isnt worthy of being the best song in a movie for the year, it has now happened with a few other things, and I can't help but feel that it is a little odd.
