Re:[Police] Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Tickets
That stinks! If I had $10,000+ I would *definitely* donate it, and hawk what I could to buy the tickets. I remember buying the first Police album the year after it came out. I was eleven. I remember having the opportunity to actually see the guys and in my home town in 1983--ONLY to be dragged off to another state to a family reunion instead. I've NEVER forgiven my father's family. It's been 22 years since I've gotten together with them, as long as The Police have been apart. I thought I was over being mad, but not now. I'm happy for those who can go--but I'm still jealous. It's so unfair that so many of the real fans are left out of this very special time. I just had to say it, I'm really bummed. So even if you give $10,000.00+ you still are not guaranteed tickets! I agree on the injustice of it all, onceagain there is an event that will be attended by lots of VIPs, and virtually no fans. The event is really what funds the HOF, therefore I can understand that these things need to be the way they are, but I actually blame the band, as they should know better than to reform at something that is off limits to most. Apparently, the venue holds 1500 people, and remember that there are 7 inductees. If you follow this through, you have seven bands and their loved ones, ex band mates, managers etc. For example, the fanclub doesn't get tickets for this event, this is probably because if sting gotan allocation of 50 tickets, it would immediately be swallowed up by the likes of Miles, Kim Turner, Danny all those folks who have been a major part of the Police. This event is a pinnacle of career event, it isnt like a normal concert. The fact that the police are reforming for it, says how highly they value it Jeremy & Debs
