RE: [Police] the police.com website and why sting is ending the police
AS for myself, I was really satisfied when they create "The PoliceTour.com" and when my membership was already valid through my STING.COM membership ..... so I don't lose anything... and I could have amazing seats down in MIAMI last july .... Nevertheless, I really understand the angryness of all those who came only when The PoliceTour website was created .... KTY From FRANCE

I cancelled my membership years ago over a ticket dispute, and I must confess never to have regretting it.

I cancelled my membership which was due for renewal today. I wasn't willing to gamble $100 on a maybe fanclub show that maybe I could attend -- after all, last year my schedule didn't allow me to attend the first one, so that was no benefit to me. Besides, at this point a fanclub show just doesn't even have the same "oomph" factor -- not unless they promise to change up the setlist that is no big surprise to anyone any longer. Pre-sale tickets were a joke and consistently worse than Best Buy presales or regular sales. Nothing else was of especially good value or interest for the money. I'll stick with fan-run communities in the future. sockii
I did not become a member at all. And so far that has given me the most $100,- in the pocket! And I stall had excellent places at the concert. I don't think I missed much not "supporting the police" (bank account). Nope, both are separate this time around. No discount or freebies to Sting.com people. If you're due up today or soon on autorenewal, make sure to cancel your account in advance! It's due date for a lot of folks today and no one that I've heard from has gotten the so-called "reminder" email that's supposed to go out via Ultrastar about it. So unless you cancel in advance, they'll try to rebill you. sockii On Feb 12, 2008, at 10:26 AM, Stinging in the rain wrote:

Ah, I seem to have strayed from the original topic. I did not join either and was able to get tickets to the concert in Chicago, which made me as happy as can be. COmbine that with all the empty seats from scalpers and I got as good a view of the stage as I could have possibly hoped for. David On Feb 12, 2008 9:32 AM, sockii <sockii@earthlink.net> wrote:
