RIGHT ON TRINI! I DON'T WANT TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM STEW BECAUSE I CONSIDER HIM IN THE LEAGUE OF PEART, VAN HALEN, AND BONHAM, BUT THE TRUTH MUST BE TOLD. HE LET HIS EMOTIONS OVERRIDE THE NEEDS OF THE SONG. -----Original Message----- From: Trini [mailto:snsv@yahoo.com] Sent: Monday, March 17, 2003 8:32 PM To: Rhythmatist17@aol.com; police@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Police] Way to Go Stew It really is a blessing Sting does not hire drummers that break snare drums during Every Breath. It is also a testimony as to why Sting should no longer be in a band. Anyone knowing a bit about music understands that there are times you play in the pocket, allowing the song to breath instead of being an individualist distraction. Stewart was great during Roxanne but he overplayed on Every Breath so much so that he fucked up his snare. Andy was great on both songs! He looked like he was having the time of his life playing with those two, meanwhile "King of Shitheads", aka Sting, looked like he had somewhere else he wanted to be. Stewart gets to play with the likes of Trey Anastasio and Les Claypool letting a whole new generation realize the genius of his drumming. All sorts of new drummers, Taylor Hawkins and Chad Smith have listed Stewart and their biggest influence. SOMEDUDE you are totally right, Way to go Stew!!!!!! _______________________________________________ Police mailing list Police@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/police _____ Do you Yahoo!?
