RE: [Police] Latest Best Buy Presale (answering two posts...)
Doreliz and Rich - thanks for your input. I have since discovered (through the bestbuy.ca website) that codes get e-mailed to us (here in Canada, anyway). Seems the system is quite different here, though I'm not sure why. Again, thanks for your help! Ok. I haven't seen any sort of schedule for the release dates and times but there is some information under the terms and condition which has some times lines...though I'm not sure they are completely accurrate. I have been checking all day today to see if the code for Dallas is coming out yet. They have set the date of the concert but no pre-sale date. Out of all the cities that had a set date and venue already only Dallas, Vegas, New Orleans and St Louis are yet to get the presale code. When the code is given out, it is only done through the website (that I've seen) so you have to continue checking. I started looking at 6am this morning and through out the day the added 2 more codes for a total of 3. I attached a picture of what it looks like when the site is giving away the codes available. I am not sure if it works the same for Canada but I think it should be. Just thought I would tell you what I know. Good luck! ----- Original Message ---- From: Bruce Greenwood <bruce.greenwood@rogers.com> To: Timothy Enders <tenders@loyola.edu>; Stingfan222@aol.com; police@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Tuesday, February 20, 2007 1:02:03 PM Subject: RE: [Police] Latest Best Buy Presale (answering two posts...) Can someone in Canada explain to me how they received their Bestbuy passcode for the first Vancouver, Toronto, and Monteal shows? I signed up last week in the hopes that I could get a code for the second Vancouver show, and I can't figure out from the site how / when I get a code - it appears the Canadian and US sites work slightly differently. Do I have to request a code? Will one automatically be sent to me? When? That sort of thing. Any help would be much appreciated - thank you in advance! The best buy presales things was a "scam". That is you had to be a member BEFORE The announcement which made no sense since they advertised to sign up so you could have presales THE DAY OF THE Press release. They did this to gather more email address's. MessageWhether I actually get any shot at tickets for Denver tomorrow remains to be seen, but so far I'm happy with my BB RZ membership. I also joined 3 or 4 years ago, back when it cost US$10. I joined in order to get the Christmas CD in a can that looked like a CD-sized peppermint candy, and included Sting's version of "I Saw Three Ships," and some other artists' songs, like 5 total as I recall. But I shop at BB regularly, and have more than gotten my $$ worth in rewards, especially now that they've made membership free. Too bad they misadvertised that you could join now in order to get the code. If that was on purpose, somebody should have their ears boxed. But assuming it helps in tomorrow's pre-sale, it's a nice reward for loyal BB RZ customers. I guess the problem I have is with the word "loyal." Why someone is considered loyal if the signed up several days before the actual PR date, doesn't make sense to me. -----Original Message----- From: police-bounces+rossv=shaw.ca@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:police-bounces+rossv=shaw.ca@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of TMead17327 Sent: Tuesday, February 20, 2007 3:19 PM To: police@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Police] Latest Best Buy Presale (answering two posts...) FWIW, I found two people in my office that have Best Buy memberships due to returns last holiday season or other somesuch thing. Needless to say they weren't that upset to share their codes with me. Ask around. rossv wrote:
