Universal lowered their CD prices recently in an effort to make CD's more attractive to customers. That move has backfired though - not because costumers aren't buying them, but because large music chains such as Virgin Megastore are boycotting Universal Artists. Sting for instance does not get advertised in the New Releases section, you can't listen to Sacred Love at the listening posts, and there are no advertising posters. They still sell the album in the regular racks, but the average customer wouldn't know that the album even exists when walking into the store...
