Hi everyone, I just bought Sacred Love and listened to it while driving during my lunch break. I have to say, not one song on the CD gave me an adverse reaction at all. I was hypnotized from the opening track, and I was hooked pretty much all the way through (I made it as far as Sacred Love, but only because I had gotten back to work). Not every song is my favorite, but like I said, none put me off. The ones that immediately made a definitive impact on me are Inside, Never Coming Home, Stolen Car, This War, and Sacred Love. I even like Send Your Love. I heard the first chronological version; I didn't get to the Dave Aude remix yet, and if that's the version playing on Sting's Web site as soon as you log on (at least about a month ago), I"m cool with that one as well. I understand what people are saying about Kipper, the drum machine and all, but I just totally forgot about that and let Sting's characteristically lush tunes, awesome vocals, and even more awesome classic overdubbed and multi-layered harmonies sink in. I could hear traces of all of Sting's solo albums on this one, and the songs here that sounded like the not-so-great songs on Brand New Day, like Stolen Car, I felt were far superior to their Brand New Day sound-alikes. So all in all, I'm quite pleased with the album. I'm looking forward to Sting's appearances on 60 Minutes and Letterman, as well as the A&E special and the DVD.
