If any of you would like to give up your "crap" seats, I'd be happy to take ONE ticket at face value + TM charges. Sorry if I'm not very "compassionate" about this, but just being at the first Police fan club show in 24 years (or more) is a "win" in my opinion. Hell, I'll sit in the top row just to be there. Anyway :-) One thing I'd like to point out, is that last year U2 did a "rehearsal" show in LA before their Vertigo tour, and they had *no* seats on the floor. All of the seats were on the sides of the arena in two groups. This was because they were still setting everything up and had crew and cables running everywhere on the floor. Also, security was much easier (and cheaper) by using only the side seating areas. They only needed a small number of security folks. Perhaps the fan club sections for the police are ONLY off to the sides as well? Just a thought. Dan
I don't see this issue as the Police's issue. It is tickeetmaster. Unless this is unusual seating, side seats would be considered better than floor seats by very very few people (VERY few). And it is ticketmaster that people are complaining about, not the Police Remember, everything is relative. Therefore if best available is the side, then by definition that means NO floor seats are available. And they were. The fact floor seats were available tells me there is something wrong with ticketmaster. So relatively speaking side seats would be crap. Just because people are WILLING to take something over nothing doesn't mean they aren't justified in being critical. People have every right to complain about ticketmaster and what has happened. It's interesting I can't think of a single positive story about ticketmaster. Can anyone share an experience where they went the extra mile for a purchaser? -----Original Message----- From: police-bounces+rossv=shaw.ca@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:police-bounces+rossv=shaw.ca@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Dan Eliot Sent: Thursday, April 26, 2007 2:48 PM To: police@mailman.xmission.com Subject: [Police] Floor for the Vencouver fanclub show On Thu, April 26, 2007 1:27 pm, police-request@mailman.xmission.com wrote:
