Hi to all -- I agree, Dietmar, with all you say, that no matter what lengths we might go to to see a show, or see Sting or Andy or Stewart, we are all fans. There are some venues that are easier than others for some of us to stake out! One thing I feel about the three of them, though, is that they have aged with their age, if you know what I mean. They don't try to be young for youth's sake (like a Rod Stewart, maybe), but the passion and love and talent for their music, whatever form that has taken, always comes through. And by the way, I hope you are using the term "old men" loosely! Because frankly, I'm pretty close to Sting in age, and I don't feel like an old woman -- nor do I look like one!! And as weird as it was to see him onstage with the Backstreet Children, he was way, way, way more attractive and in better shape than any of them!!!!!!! (sorry, guys!) That's all for now! Whether I am able to go to the HOF (I have one meager contact, and am crossing my fingers) or will watch it with the rest of us on TV, I am very much looking forward to this! Hi everyone
there are thousands of "real" Police fans. I wouldn't say that just the people who spend lots of time and money to get near Sting/Stewart/Andy are real fans. Anybody who likes their music is a fan and should be able to see them.
I always wanted a reunion. And I was always frightened of one. Because it's been so long and I can see lots of negative examples of old men making rock music around. I hope the reunion is worth it and the three of them find some joy in it. Then there might be more for all of us.
