Re: New-ish Police Material The white-label remix of Don't Stand So Close To Me is awfully good. Just when you thought you were too old to dance, that remix will get you off your feet in a hurry. Dear Greg,
I came across your site, which I foud very interesting! I am a big fan of Sting's score for Disney's "The Emperor's New Groove", and have been wondering whatever happened to "The Sweatbox", the documentary his wife directed about Sting's journey writing the songs for this feature. It was first set for release in early 2001, then was supposed to be featured on the Groove DVD, and now hasn't been heard of since.
Could you tell me what the plans, or problems are with this release? I'd love to see it soon!
Kind regards,
Olivier Mouroux omouroux@yahoo.com

I'd like to know the answer myself. If anyone has information about what happened to the sweatbox, can you please post it to the group?

In Addition To The Sweatbox , Does anyone know why the Central Park Concert Was Never Broadcasted or Released on video /dvd? I must Have gone to Best Buy 10x To watch portions of The show & The Bit Of Footage I Watched Was Incredible "Sound , Quality Etc Etc " It Would Be A shame Not To Have an Oppurtunity To Add That Show To Our Sting Collections Especially for those who could not be There
that was certainly one of the best sting shows I've ever attended
P.S Anyone Going to The Olympics : )

Hi guys, it was a long time since I last wrote anything so I thought I would cheer you guys up a little. (It depends how you look at it. :) ) Just heard a song by Mary J blidge called "Dance for me". The striking thing about the song is that someone found use for their sampler. :) They have sampled "the bed's to big without you". They have both used Andy's guitar and some of Sting's bass playing. I could hear it directly but it took a while for me to realize that they also took some of the bass guitar too. And just to cheer you guys even more, (:)) they even used some of used a hihat hit from the original. To be honest I even think it's kind of cool. To bad they don't use the whole riff and that they destroy the bass. :( But it feels good that someone still thinks the police rocks out in the big world. :)
What do you guys think? Is there someone who knows any more songs out in the big world that sample the Police except that P diddy Biddy di Puff pappy... :)
