Re: [Police]Santa's Boyfriend / Faktory X Questions
Hi All, I too would love some information/site addresses for this band.Once I looked up "Santa's Boyfriend" on a search engine but the sites I found seemed not to have been updated for a while and basic information for someone who like me knows very little about it was very sketchy. And Factory X info is even harder to find!Maybe that's because the name was only changed to that relatively recently or something? Hi TJ,
I don't know if anyone ever replied to you about this...
Every Breath You Take (special edition single) http://stingetc.com/rare/everybr.shtml 1. Every Breath You Take 2. Murder by Numbers 3. Man in a Suitcase (live) 4. Truth Hits Everybody '83
I actually happen to have this. It took me several years to track down, but copies of this *are* floating around out there. On a side note, this happens to be the result of the scrapped 12" single for EBYT. Why they decided to change the format and do this is beyond me. But keep checking - it's bound to turn up somewhere again. And if you find it, I would jump at the opportunity to pick it up... the remake of "Truth..." is absolutely brilliant.
(now if only I can find a place that sells cheap turntables...)
If what Ian (Copeland) once mentioned is true and happens to come to fruition, perhaps maybe there will be a CD out with tracks not found on the box set. I'd eat that up in a second.
basically it seems sinful that the golden age of the internet and ease-of-audio transfer not be used to the advantage of people doomed >to love a defunct band.
Agreed, but there are major technicalities involved with doing this - namely, the licensing needed to acquire the rights to copy and distribute these, and the payment of these mechanical royalties to the publishers. (who own the rights to these songs)
Trust me, I'm in the business - I know all too well about these things. Whether or not I personally agree with this is neither for here nor there. But what are you going to do, you know?

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone had anything new on Joe Sumner's group. It seems as if they have dropped off the face of the earth since they changed their name. Their old website isn't up anymore.
Also, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help me obtain a copy of the Santa's Boyfriend CD that I hear on Turning Leaf.
Thanks, Don in Sunny Florida
