Good question, one I've been pondering over the years. My answer is #1. When #2 takes over, it's bad news. I think of Sting and his family life. His family has to suffer to be without him due to his love to perform and need to provide for the lifestyle they're accustomed to. I'm sure he hates being away from them, but he's bringing something back. My kids have to trade off mom for what? A "fan"? I understand we've all made choices, I just don't want to be labeled a "not real fan" because I choose my family over, let's face it----just a band. (the best damn band on the planet ... but just three guys with families to support). What do I want on my tombstone? She was a great mom and a huge fan of Sting and the Police * or * She was a huge fan of Sting and the Police and neglectf ul mom who drove their family to poverty because she was following "the band"!!! No brainer on my answer there... I'm not writing to complain, I think we need to appreciate all of our sacrifices no matter how small or large. I want to see them again, and would if I had a firm ticket. I'm just not willing to go and come back with nothing. I'm truly happy for those of you that get to go! Just understand the plight and feelings of the "little people" on the list. I look forward to reports of all who attend, just don't tell us we suck because we didn't TRY to get there. (I'm not saying this in a vicious way, things don't come across well in emails!) Be happy! We're going to see THE POLICE either in person, on VH1 or by sneaking in under someone's coat in March! (I for one am trying to be the toilet cleaner at the hotel that night!) Michelle
