Sting.com must have had a small allotment of tickets for them to sell out in 24 hours. But not to worry -- the Hammerstein is a rather large ballroom, and there are no seats, so you don't have to worry about getting cheap seats. All you have to do is get there early! I'm sure everyone will be able to get tickets when they go on sale to the general public. And here's a tip: if you want to by-pass the ridiculous TicketMaster surcharge, you can sometimes pick up Hammerstein tickets at the Mercury Lounge on Houston St. (Hammerstein does not have a box office). -----Original Message----- From: HILARY L JUSTH [mailto:hlj104@psu.edu] Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2003 6:10 PM To: David Lucky Cc: Police@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Police] NYC gig Did anyone on the list get tickets via the fan club? I was unable to get online until now (out of town without internet) and just found out now that they had already sold out of all of the tickets for NYC. After having the Paris show hyped for weeks, we had little (no) advance notice as to when the tickets for NYC were going to be made available. I might have been able to work something out if I had known when the tickets were going on sale. I wonder how many tickets they had for sale? Frustrated Sting fan, Hilary
actually they were selling floor standing room, and unassigned seats for first and 2nd mezzanines. on 9/17/03 6:30 PM, Fred Berthelot at F.Berthelot@Ramsa.com wrote:
