I think it's only fair that both Warren Zevon and George Harrison win Grammys for their recent releases. As for Jeff Lynne, it was his sound and production that made George Harrison's big comeback in 1987 possible, as well as the two Traveling Wilburys albums. I think he may even have had something to do with Roy Orbison's Mystery Girl and Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever. No disrespect to Sting, but I hope George Harrison wins the Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his song Any Road from his posthumous album Brainwashed.

Personally I'm hoping for Warren Zevon to win. Saying that, I think the album sounds too much of Geoff Lynne.. In fact, to me, he's the 'kipper' influence. You've only got to hear a record produced by him and you can tell he produced it by that ELO sound.... So really, if George does win anything, it'll be a sympathy vote rather than for work he's done, because don't forget, most of the tracks were just demo's, that they had to scrub together and polish up to make onto the record.... So we'll never know just how much of George is in those tracks... Hence they all sound like Geoff Lynne to me.
