As spring approaches I can't help but begin to turn my attention to the future. The Police reunion that had us jumping up and down and screaming like little girls (or was it just me?) in January of 2007 has been sealed in the history books. So what is happening now? I'm sure that Stew, Andy, and Sting are all moving on to other projects. What are they? Does anyone (Giovanni? Dietmar?) have any ideas for us? Is there other Police news? Or is this just the end? No more Sting, Andy, or Stew. They're just calling it quits to relax in their palatial estates? I hope you're all well, David
There's plenty of info on Stewart's upcoming projects over on sc.net. Here's a good summary post: http://www.stewartcopeland.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9967 Andy also has a new book out, or coming out soon: http://www.stewartcopeland.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9963 There's been some Sting news too but I don't follow that too closely myself. Really, plenty of discussion still going on over there about all of their work. Some still on thepolice.com messageboards as well. -sockii On Mar 16, 2009, at 2:07 PM, David wrote:

I suppose I always counted on the list for Police news in general, but it looks like I'll need to subscribe to a few different places to keep up now. It was always so nice to get the news from one main place, here, but times change I guess. Thanks sockii! David On Mon, Mar 16, 2009 at 1:16 PM, sockii <sockii@earthlink.net> wrote:

I'm posting as my name was in that original e-mail I don't know anything else besides the official statements. That is THE POLICE are finished. I would guess that there's a chance to see them again at some benefit concert - like Live Aid, Live Earth etc. as the members seem to get along well... Of course, yes, The Police are finished. I am surprised, though, that so little news is coming in about each member of the band and what they are doing now. Thanks! On Mon, Mar 16, 2009 at 5:07 PM, <dtmrcls@aol.com> wrote:

Well, it just depends on where you look. To be honest, I have really found this mailing list to be on top of announcements and discussions for a number of years. SC.net seems to have the bulk of the diehard Stewart and Andy fans, who scour the news regularly and share announcements there. Stingus ditto for the Sting fans. If it wasn't for sc.net I would've missed out on a ton of stuff all through the reunion tour and then some. -sockii
