andrea: good to hear from you. but contrair monfrair - it is BND that i do not like. sting solo? L O V E him. but my feelings for his solo career does not even scratch the surface for what i feel about the police. and THAT is saying something. as far as protesting...you a right. but my protests will be silent from here on out - because as sweet as reading (and on sunday, seeing) about how fantastic the police were last nite, that sweetness is fading fast in the face of the reality that last nite was truly "the last nite": they will never play together again. and for that reason, i vent, esp. after reading articles like the one in rolling stone... rich --- Andrea Manassy <a1000rainydays@hotmail.com> wrote: --------------------------------- Rich, Just out of curiosity.....where are all these people that proclaim BND is the greatest album ever? What's with the over-zealous hostility towards that album? You don't like the album. You don't like Sting the solo artist. We get it. We know. Must you remind us in every post? Me thinks the foxie doth protest too much. But, I will agree that The Police kicked ass last night. I had the great fortune of hearing their final hurrah, and it was a feeling that I'll not likely experience ever again. And I got to share it with the one man that understands exactly how it felt. It was wonderful. On a side note, Gwen Stefani exudes pure joy when speaking of Sting. Her giddiness at having met him at 13 reminded me of myself. And she's a stunning woman in person. Long live The Police (and Sting) Andrea
