Hi, I taped Sting in Chicago last Friday night. I also taped Chris Botti's set. CB was excellent, very energetic, rocking, upbeat, fantastic set. His band is amazing. Sting's set was quite boring, same old boring songs, Fields of gold, Fragile, If I ever lose my faith, and a few new ones, which were good, but nothing spectacular. Dominic Miller is no Andy I'll tell you that. Synchronicity II sounded like it was missing the guitar parts. But I guess his playing is restricted by Sting who does not like loud guitars. Why does Sting need two piano players? All the people in Sting's band did not create as much energy and rock the theater like Chris Botti's set. I recommend going to the show to at least see Chris Botti. He rocks. Also, the Police had a much more full sound with just three guys than Sting's big band of today. It's unfortunate Sting is so stuck up and has to have all the fame for himself that he cannot get back together with the best band in the world - The Police. The show was hardly worth the $100.00 ticket. If anyone has a show they taped from the current tour, please email me for a trade, Thanks, Ken
