I am slowly working my way through it due to a complete lack of time(!) but I really like what I have heard so far. They are what are known as "Art Songs" - the only reason I know this is because my son has to do art songs for choir auditions and I have become familiar with them in that way. I'm about 2/5 through the CD and what I have heard so far is very nice. It seems like he has multi-tracked his own voice for the choral parts -- As I said, no time, so I haven't even read the liner notes, which are pages long, btw. The best part for me so far, though, are the dramatic readings, each only several seconds long, that intersperse the songs. <sigh> Even his speaking voice is magical! ...but that's just me! ;-) OK, back to work!
