hey! the date we have most of us have waited for the past decade of so has arrived - the police are getting into the R&R HOF and will play together. the talk of them playing more shows that this the obligatory HOF reunion set may turn out to be nothing more than a dream. then again, us dreamers have one thing in our favor, that being sting's mccartney-esque ego. getting into the HOF on the 1st year of eligibity is an amazing feat: some acts that deserve to be in (Rush, Genesis, Sabbath, to name a few) have either never been nominated or have have languished on the ballot, year after year, never getting enough votes to get in. Ozzy has asked that Sabbath never be put on the HOF ballot again - this because they have been unbelievabibly rejected 3 staight times. The great AC/DC were also rejected initially, this year finally getting in. anyway, back to sting's ego, undoubtedly still intact since the last paragraph: i say let us all keep up our hopes and voice those hopes to all that will listen. let all the stories about them reuniting for the HOF show and possibly more shows - let those stories continue to be written. sting no doubt has someone cutting out all these stories, basking in all the praise rightfully being heaped on the police, equally happy about all the gathering momentum for a reunion. the time is right: history and his ego are in perfect synchronicity. so keep your respective fingers crossed and keep the dreams coming. tell everyone you can. spread the word. rich __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
