Re: [Police] Fan Club needs your money to save the Sting's castle...
That pretty much sums it all up. They probably started out just fans like us, wanting to create a Sting community. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like they get that much support from the Sting camp. I think they're doing a fine job with the small bones they've been tossed. Michelle In a message dated 4/6/04 9:02:28 AM, Jason@digital-solutions.co.uk writes:
Well, they're hearts are in the right place, and they obviously thought they were good ideas. You can't please everyone, and I know I've done my share of moaning. They're trying their best, but unfortunately, I don't think it's good enough. Sometimes it's difficult when your hands are tied, but at least they've tried to contact several people, myself included, to try and explain things on a personal level.
I'm greatful for that, but still disappointed with what I received for my money.
I don't think its directly in Sting's hands either, I believe this ticket issue is a Clearchannel tour promotion problem. That's the way these promoters work, for any artist! I don't think Sting.com nor el Stingo has much control over the issue. Stingfan222@aol.com wrote: That pretty much sums it all up. Believe me, no matter how much plausible deniability Sting claims, he has control over who gets the front seats. Unfortunately, there are a lot of behind the scenes deals going on between the promoters, artists, venues and the ticket brokers. And it is all fueled by greed. on 4/6/04 7:27 PM, Trini at snsv@yahoo.com wrote:

No, I'm not, but I've spoken to brokers, I've read articles and watched local investigative pieces about how seats are allocated, and have picked up info from watching how other bands deal with this. Maybe you can delineate how Sting's seating is determined, and the interrelationships of the promoters, brokers, and venues of this tour? I'd be interested in learning from a Sting insider exactly how seating availablility for his shows is determined? Thanks! on 4/6/04 7:46 PM, Trini at snsv@yahoo.com wrote:
