I think Ryko does this kind of thing. My brother in law has done some releases for his old band. DVD's as well. I think if they're confident in selling "x" amount of cd's/dvd's, they'll do it. The problem would be getting the rights to do it and distribute it. I'm all for it though! I think you can even go to rykodisc and request that they do certain projects. Do we barrage them with emails? Michelle in Texas.
universal would NEVER give up the rights to do this - they actually have done quite well with some of the delux editions they put out - personally, i recommend the delux CATCH A FIRE and EXODUS by bob marley and the wailers. ALSO, as i mentioned last week, i have been advising my friend that works at univeral about a police-related dvd project he is trying to initiate. will advise on it when i get more details. regards (and hello to ms. michelle!), rich --- Stingfan222@aol.com wrote:

But Sting / The Police are on a Universal label already right? And it's Universal who produce all the Deluxe Editions I have seen in the UK.. and some of those editions are fantastic. Perhaps we have to suggest it to Universal... I sure would love a new Police DVD too! --- Stingfan222@aol.com wrote: > I think Ryko does this kind of thing. My brother in

Since several people have been asking me about the show here it goes: The show overall was average but the audience were way below average. They were sitting most of the show except for two songs and sting barely jumped in the air. STing looked as though he was forced to do that show. The films he had behind it were boring. He has mellowed significantly and his shows have gotten boring over the last two shows. He looked bored having only addressed the audience two times. The only highlight for me was chick corea's cameo. Jason Robello wasn't even used to the extent that he should have been. I had thought he had gotten rid of the idiot Kipper but alas he was there with what looked to be having stupid dreadlocks. Overall the show was blah. Thank God I didn't pay full price. His versions of hole and sychronicity are so watered down. His live version of stolen car was this stupid dance song, horrible. Conclusion, Sting is getting boring in his old age. He really needs to call stewart and andy.
