Ciao everybody, Giovanni here. Twista is one of the 'big names' coming out on hip-hop world; check the chart singles or the hip-hop mags, as he's the next main name; as usual, Sting does anticipates everybody and get him on board; right choice, given the fact that 'Sacred Love' needs some more push, and what a better choice than someone into a very young public and someone into 'breaking-chart-topping'? I guess Sting likes very much these powerful vibes coming from hip-hop. I do personally finds it interesting, always a new challenge; we all know 'Sacred Love' isn't doing as expected all around the world (correct me if I'm wrong), so why not try to give a push with some collaborations on remixes? This might bring some more listener and involve more people to 'Sacred Love'; do you know how many people heard for the first time 'Every Breath You Take' after Puff Daddy 'remake'? I was working for a record store at the time and I can tell so many young people bought 'The Best Of Sting & the Police' as they discovered there was the original version of the song'... HEY PEOPLE, WE'RE GETTING OLDER YOU KNOW? WE CAN'T FORGET THERE ARE YOUNGER GENERATIONS INTO NEW STUFF.... ahahahahah! And God bless Sting as he still 'keeps an eye open on new music and artists' and let us talk about some new kinda stuff, instead of getting used to 'the same old tunes' (that I personally love, but I'm glad music goes on....). Like it or not, let's all listen to Twista, and then let's judge! At least you might know a little more about 'your son's music....' eheheh.... Ciao ciao Giovanni Ps.: reading some reviews on Twista forthcoming album, it makes me curious, and my nephew (he's a rapper, yeah), is telling me good things on him! But Uncle Joe will make him a surprise and will give him something he never heard: Sting + Twista collaboration....will he throw it at me? No way, otherwise I won't let him play his cd's on my 5,1 system! Superbasses vibrations are cool...and once again my mother will run after both of us around the house....she hates me when I pump up the volume to ...ehm...11! -----Messaggio originale----- Da: police-bounces+giovanni.pollastri=libero.it@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:police-bounces+giovanni.pollastri=libero.it@mailman.xmission.com]Per conto di Kins743@aol.com Inviato: domenica 28 marzo 2004 6.30 A: police@mailman.xmission.com Oggetto: Re: [Police] TOUR EDITION OF 'SACRED LOVE,' NEW SINGLE OUT IN APRIL IF any of you have ever heard of Kanye West (he is signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, Jay-Z's company), Twista is a rapper on his first single, "Slow Jamz", Twista is a guest rapper on it. But besides that, I've never heard of him.
