What *is* wrong with that? I'm in that school too.
Personally I saw them in Dallas and Houston and
thought it was fantastic. In fact, I was glad *not*
to have the distractions of previous tours (dancing
background singers, saxophone sections, stupid
costumes) and to get the actual Police instead. I
think the negative reviews in the press are coming
from that place a lot of critics come from, the
"people love this stuff so I should sh** on it" school
of writing. I'm not a big fan of that.
Aside from the annoyance of the fan club tickets being
nosebleed compared to the tickets "normal" people
bought (I ended up with an extra 'fan club' set I
could not unload when I upgraded, for example) I've no
complaints. Short of actually seeing them in 1981 or
earlier, this '07 set is as good as it gets. I was a
bit surprised they didn't banter more, but not upset
about it. I've heard Sting before. :-P
