OK, despite the fact that I have the complete Japanese edition on order, I couldn't wait any longer for the FedEx man as I walked past the Sam Goody en route to work today... Fred, Andrea - hit me upside the head or something. In any event, two weeks later it's finally released here across the pond. If you managed to watch the webcast weeks ago to quench your thirst for this album, there aren't that many surprises, except notably for the fact that a lot of Sting's spoken intros to songs have been edited out. However, a while ago there was a discussion concerning the track listing regarding "If You Love Somebody..." Lo and behold, the graphic designers at A&M USA double-checked their packaging layouts, and the track is labelled correctly on the US edition: If You Love Somebody Set Them Free And a sigh of relief from all of the purists here comes over the crowd... :) Additionally, there is a blurb sticker on the shrinkwrap advertising the A&E special. I still have one question to you all of you regarding "Fragile." For those of you who own the single, is the single version taken from the album, or is it the studio version used in the video? It's incredibly hard to tell now at the volume I have to keep this at (I'm at work at the moment), but upon first listening, the two (album and single) sound remarkably similar. (and for those who wondering, Sting's spoken intro regarding the tragedy in NYC has been excluded from the track - chances are it will be on the DVD) Now the long wait for December 4th to come around.... :p Steve ______________________________________________________________________________ Stephen V.
