I would wait and see what you can get through presales and regular sales first.  Particularly because they probably don't even have those tickets and are basically selling them on speculation that they'll be able to get them.

If you're going to do an auction and spend thousands, at least do the Ticketmaster auction.  Those are for really great seats (rows 2-9, center at Fenway), and you know that at least some portion of the money is going to that Water Aid group that the Police are donating to.

If you want to do the fan club presale, you may want to wait and see how this first one goes as a gage for the best way to get NOLA tickets. There have been a lot of concerns about the presale, to put it mildly.

Hope this helps,
Chris B

Has anybody heard of Stubhub.com? they are selling seats in New Orleans (for which the pre-sale hasn't even started) $1000.00 for 24th row. I don't want to spend that kind of $ for tickets but at the same time I'm only going to one concert, I want the seats to be good. It's not out of the real of possibility financially. (just CRAZY!) Based on what I'm hearing of the best Buy pre-sales and Sting.com earlier pre-sales maybe this is my best bet? Maybe I should just do it and if I get something more reasonable later sell them on EBay? HELP I'm so conflicted! What should I do you guys? My husband has agreed to the $ since he knows I've been waiting since I was 11 years old to see this!
