My opinion is that, if you can make it
work from a financial perspective, you might want to try and go to the
show. Believe it or not, I think the setlist will actually be somewhat
different by then (by a couple of songs, anyway), and …well, I don’t
know…for me it is hard to imagine The Police playing near my home but not
actually being there myself – I think you might regret not being there if
you were to make that decision. Also, seeing 2 concerts of your favourite
band in 25 years doesn’t seem too excessive J. I think you will
thoroughly enjoy the show regardless of how similar or different it is from
September, and who knows if you’ll ever have an opportunity to see them
again?
Just my 2 cents.
Cheers,
Bruce

Subject: [Police] Should I go ...?
Okay, so The Police have just announced their second
show in
I have a hard time making up my mind here. Ticket prices are high - again - and
I have already seen them when they were here on September 1st. That was an
amazing show, but it will probably be the same show over again in June. Also,
the summer shows come after a three month break, so maybe they will not be up
to full speed.
Then again, this is probably one of the last chances to see the trio perform
live, and they are my favourite group.
They could, of course, do the unthinkable and make new music in the three month
break and present that at the summer shows, in which case I should definitely
go!
What are your thoughts about the summer shows? Will they just be a plain
wrap-up of the tour, or will we see something different? I'm hoping the latter,
but logic dictates the former (the same logic that ruled out a Police reunion
for 20 some years ...).
