Dude, making a scrapbook is a lot of fun. You can go to a store that sells scrapbook material and the people that work there will pretty much help you out, tell you what you need and give you tips. You can also look up Creative Memories and try to find a sales rep in your area. They're scrapbooking materials are a bit more pricey but excellent quality. The Creative Memories consultants will also host "work shops" where a number of people will get together to scrapbook and then you can also learn from those around you. Just ideas in case you are really interested.

Subject: Re: [Police] My thoughts....

First off, I think Ross was kidding around :) After all, he got to play with Sting :P

Second, I am in agreement with Mark.  I will be happy to organize a party in Chicago when they come here, and I feel that working together to obtain tickets (if necessary) would be a great way to make sure everyone gets to see the boys.

I am stressed out too... but I like Doreliz's idea of making a scrapbook so I can remember how awesome the stress felt years down the line! Of course, that's predicated upon my knowing how to make a scrapbook, which I don't.

If anyone would like to start posting old images of the band on the list, I've certainly got a "Police" folder to fill on my computer.  In fact, I wonder if I might make t-shirts with those iron-on sheets that have images of The Police, to have something unique to wear to the show!

Now I'm all worked up about the reunion again... I thought I had myself under control, but no!

Have a great Friday, everyone.

I'm a 5+ year lurker of this mailing list.  This is the only such list I've
ever followed.  I've never seen the Police perform.  Prior to 2003, my
friend (another dedicated fan) and I fantisized about a reunion.  After the
R'nRoll Induction, we prayed for a reunion.  Over the next few years, we
basically conceeded that it would never happen.  And all of a sudden, it's
on the verge of happening......

This possibility is consuming my thoughts.  I've loaded my computer at work
with all the Police material I have.  I've been inspired to buy a record
player and archive digital versions of some rare LP bootlegs (including the
great MM-14) on my computer.  I finished Andy's book in November and
revisited Sting's  "Broken Music".  I look at my collection of 7" singles
and signed LPs that have been on my wall, in higher prominace than my
medical degree, in my office.  I'm considering purchasing the Andy Summers
replica Fender Telecaster.  All of a sudden, it's on the verge of
happening.....

I'm flying my best friend to Minneapolis to have a Grammy's party: one song,
one performance is the party.  Someone on this list speculated that the tour
would not be for us, but for a broader audience.  This event is for us more
than any others.  This is the ONE thing that EVERY member of this list has
dreamed and perhaps been too afraid to hope for.  And all of a sudden, it's
on the verge of happening....

My name is Mark and I live in Minneapolis.  If the Police play here, I will
orginize the party for any list members that want to come.  Hell, I'll buy
the drinks.  And when I got to NY, I hope one of you will do the same.  And
when I go to LA, I hope one of you will do the same....

If I'm able to get extra tickets, I will offer them at cost/trade to members
of this list.  Let's unite, help each other and celebrate!

ps-I'm sorry some of you are giving up because of the "stress" or "costs."
Krapola, you can stay at home and regret what you missed for the rest of
your life.
