I hope Sting is not fading into his twilight years as a failure with this album. I still have hope for a good album.
Wasn't Brand New Day Sting's best-selling album thus far? Not that sales translate into quality, but Sting is not going the way of James Taylor by fading into irrelevance. And not to sound like Casey Kasem, but Sting is still a "chartbuster." Sting makes money for the record execs.
I don't like "Send Your Love," but I think it will help sell the album to the kids on the dance floors, and those kids buy A LOT of albums. And I think the album will pick up in quality after we get this first single out of the way.
