But....I saw Sting here in Austin at the Erwin center in like 2000 or 2001 for his Brand New Day tour with Johnny Lang. After that I've seen in twice in San Antonio in 2004. Once at the Majestic Theater (with Chris Botti) which was totally amazing and the next was at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheater with Annie Lennox....also amazing. I prefer the Majestic as a local...more personal and just beautiful. Anyway...point being that you should not count San Antonio or Austin out! : ) ----- Original Message ---- From: Christopher Simar <casimar@yahoo.com> To: Police@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Tuesday, February 6, 2007 9:34:19 AM Subject: Re: [Police] Following in the footsteps of Mark! Nooooooo!!!!!! (jk but not really... I know he won't be here in Houston, judging on the last couple of tours, so its looking like Dallas or nada.) Sad thing is, Southpark Meadows is, no longer. Nothing but a big box shopping center there now. M

RE: Austin If they could do Lillith Fair out at "Southpark Meadows" then surely they could do a Police concert there? (Besides, doesn't Sting prefer open-air theaters anyway...?)

(rolling my eyes, don't see
Austin happening, but one can dream)
why not? Austin is a music town and surely the influx of californians to austin over the last decade and a half would provide the police enough fans to fill the erwin center or something?
