Hi all,
I though the Fiction Plane fans might like to hear that the band's official site, which you used to be able to visit at www.ficitonplane.com ,has now been added MCA's official site here:
http://www.mcarecords.com/ArtistMain.asp?ArtistId=417
It's very much improved, with lots of photos, and for every item which is posted there's a discussion thread you can add to.I'm registered there as "Angeline Adams",so you'll know it's me.
Registering apparantly gets you email updates and lets you post messages.
The best thing of all is that they have a release date for their album - the title will be Everything Will Never Be OK and it will be released on 3/11/2003.I asked if this date applied to everywhere or just America, and someone posted to say:
To answer your question Angeline, the March 11th release date is just for the US. We are working on a release date for other countries. As soon as we figure that out we will let you know - so keep checking the site for details. Thanks for your support!
And it gets even better!Remember how on their old site you could listen to short clips of Cigarette,Fallow and Hate?Well, yesterday I found that the new site was letting you listen to Cigarette in full!Interestingly this is a different version of the song to that which was on the old site,so it looks like there may be more surprises to come - some songs which were on Swings And Roundabouts are also appearing on the new album,so I would imagine that they will have new versions too.
It also looks like they're going to add new downloadable songs often;today when I checked there was a song called Listen To My Babe which is pretty good IMHO.Also, today I discovered they've put up a video of a live version of Everything Will Never Be OK from a performance in New York club CBGB's.The formats for the downloads are RealPlayer/RealOne and,I think,Windows Media Player.
A friend of the band who was asked to take photos when they played at Glastonbury this year has posted his diary of the event, and there's a track listing for the album:
