Hello All, I have been lurking for many years on this list (I think I joined it during the TST days, maybe even before that) and though I haven't written anything for a LONG time, I always try to keep an eye on what is happening with this list. The news/rumors lately have been quite intriguing, mainly because the one thing I think I have to give Sting is that you never know what he'll do next and so it wouldn't surprise me either way to see if they will do a gig together or not. I was honored to have met Sting privately for a short 15 minute backstage meeting before his concert in Cincinnati during the TST tour. He was tired but very cordial and sincerely thanked me for being a fan and sticking with him through his "musical explorations". He even signed my TST videotape (yes back in the day we used to watch this thing called "videotape"). But I have to confess that I miss the raw power that was the Police and also share the opinion that recent albums are very much overproduced. I would have loved to have seen a Broken Music performance from what was described by Holly, which brings me to the actual reason I am writing. I remember seeing on the Sting.com website something about a Broken Music Tour DVD that was to be made available to Sting.com premium members. Now this might be a bit crass to say this, and please don't be offended, but I will not be paying money to be part of a website fan club, not because I can't afford it, but just on principle. it feels demeaning and somewhat adolescent. (little video clips and mp3 files should be made available to fans for free, IMHO, as a thank you to the fans that already support the artist by buying concert tickets, DVD's, CD's etc.). I really became quite a fan of Dominic Miller because (as those of you follow Dominic know) he put up all kinds of music and videos on his website for free and even put up works in progress for his latest album to get fan feedback and show us his creative process! I think that was really very cool and a clever thing to do.At any rate, I would gladly pay a fair price for a DVD of the Broken Music Tour (I would love to hear Dominic on his Les Paul without the swoosh of keyboards, horn sections, and backup singers) and I am asking if anyone knows if it is available anywhere other than joining the website as a premium member. Thanks for reading this opinion/request from one of the real "dinosaurs" on this list. I'll go back into the shadows again now but if anyone can help me with this Broken Music DVD thing, it would be greatly appreciated! Might be the next best thing to a Police Reunion! Rob
