Michelle asked about bands influenced by The Police. Well, there's a
britrock band called 'A' who I like a lot, and who have a lot of
Police-esque touches. There's one song in particular, "6' O'Clock On A Tube
Stop" that always puts me in mind of Reggatta-era Police. Their website is
at www.a-communication.com . I'm also told that a band called RA are
Police-influenced, though I haven't heard enough of their stuff to be able
to judge.

Oh, and apparantly on Jeremy Vine's Radio 2 show, "Roxanne" figured highly
in a listener poll to find the  songs with the best opening lines.
